Why do I have less credits than contacts I have found?

On the email finder, one credit = one verified email (valid/risky)

On the email verifier, one credit = one email verification (whether or not this email is valid)

When scraping from Apollo, the default mode uses verifier credits and some emails will be invalid → those will use a verifier credit but not create a contact, thus the difference.
